Visiting Philippines? Try this dessert

My #1 Philippine dessert is not traditionally filipino. The day I arrived was grey and wet, yet humid. The traffic was a cluttered mess going from the airport. But the start of an authentic Asian experience. It was in September. I am however not reminiscing about my stay, but the smell of caramalized sugar when I entered the kitchen that following morning. The Philippines have its traditional dessert like Halo-Halo and Buku salad that is both delectable, must try frozen desserts. But it is neither of the two that made an impression on me during my visit to the Philippines. I originally began writing this post to share a great delicacy of my first visit to the Philippines.  Being passed off as a filipino dessert, I soon realised that this is not a filipino dessert but, the filipino version rather. It is still the filipino version I prefer, since I had travelled to Mexico, France and South Africa. My finding is that the filipino version referred to as Leche Flan is tastier,...

Tried and tested, 5 ways NOT to make money online

Avoid these ways to make money

5 tried and tested ways, not to make money online

This is not the kind of content I initially thought I would be writing about, but the purpose of my blog was to write things that can make life a little simpler. This is exactly how I stumbled upon these mot so beneficial websites, claiming to be a means of extra income.

I have always been someone who would search for extra ways to make an income, even more so at times when I did have an income. So when I was forced to stay at home in 2020, I began actively searching for work from home opportunities. Even if I did a few little paying gigs, with more effort I would be able to sustain myself, I thought. I would never shy away from a little effort to earn an extra buck.

Let me tell you, there was some really promising options search by many bloggers. Now I am thinking, did these bloggers even take the time to try these options.  I think there is many questions we should ask ourselves. How long would it take to make money. I believe most of us need the money by when we apply for a certain means of income. So I decided to compile my own little list of what to avoid and why I say that.

Even though I have tried all in the below list, I have to say that yes, they will give you an income, if your idea of an income is one peanut over the course of a year. If you catch my drift.

1)      MOBROG

I think with most of these survey websites it is the same scenario except for SWAGBUCKS where you work for rewards. I prefer to work for money. MOBROG seemed to be rewarding upon signup, that is if you are a count your chickens before they hatch kind of individual. The reward per survey multiplied by your personal ambitious calculation, truly gave me some stress relief by the thought of doing surveys for MOBROG. I did my first PHP11 survey, which is not transferrable as it is below the threshold, then there was no survey available till probably 3 days after, followed the link, filled out some personal information, just to receive a message, that I am not a right fit for the survey. I soon realized that it would take an eternity just to buy my partner a pack of cigarettes. So ask yourself, how much money do you want, and when do you need it. And the most important of all, do you want to spend 20minutes doing a survey, just to be forwarded to an error message? Work for peanuts? Not today

2)      SURVEYEAH PHILIPPINES

Surveyeah Philippines has the same structure and redirects, so I am not sure if this is a partner site to MOBROG, but with SURVEYEAH the opportunity was even less. Am the right fit? I don’t think anyone is the right fit. I approach this from different personas. I have been a young career woman with a PHD, a mother with 2 children, a mother with 3, and I even got divorced. Then I tried being a man, a doctor, an engineer. This is when I realized to Surveyeah Philippines, being myself was good enough, it made no difference. Personal details took 20 minutes to fill out, click submit, and you will receive a very polite message that you are not the right fit. At least they are nice about it. If kindness could only pay the bills

3)      REWARDDOLLARS

Now this is one that I couldn’t wait to write about, cause it is on the wrong list, it is suppose to be on the “BIG SCAM" list. This link spread like wildfire. Facebook friends was doing it and to earn your $$$ you had to share the links all across your social media, watch videos and try apps and also send texts that came with a hungry data eating little monster that devoured call loads. I nearly finished all the tasks and my wallet was filled with $876 dollars. The last task was nearly impossible to accomplish, and everyone was struggling, so many hours spend on surveys and online videos and no rewards. Then I finally managed. I was more clever, I thought. I did it. Apart from all this, it created unhappiness in my home because of the fact that I wasted so much time on this, but I was close enough and once I cash out it would have been all worth it. Let me tell you one year later, that payment is still pending, with no intention of being cleared. I was scammed, and ended up embarrassed to be so naïve.

4)      IQ OPTION

IQ OPTION let me start by saying, can earn you money. A lot of money. Chances are you are not emotionally strong enough for this, and like gambling they will end up taking more from you than you ever let them give you. If you read the reviews of this one, I can say that it is 50/50 negative and positive. I will give them a positive review, but advise you to not go for this option unless you are a strong level headed professional with absolutely no emotional substance.

With my first deposit, that was very small, I lost some but not much, but enough to let me try once more. I lost again, then once I thought I cracked the system. I deposited even more money, well only a $100 and I made my bets very small and calculated my bets better. I went on the earn $700 odd dollars from this strategy, but I didn’t cash out. I made more than I lost and extra. I became confident, overly confident, and began losing, as I lost , I began to bet bigger, to win back my losses, and end up losing all my gains.

This one certainly can make you an income but it is pretty close to gambling that should not be done with the heart, so if you have one, better you stay clear of IQ OPTION. If your heart is on your sleeve, then better you don’t even try the demo. Let me tell you, don’t think your smarter, because it is just you who will end up writing negative reviews, because your mad at the world for your losses. Greedy losses

5)      CLICKWORKER.COM

A total waste of time.

6)      SOCIETY6

I did a review for Society6 in a lone standing post, because even though I have made $1.90 since September 2020, I do believe in this platform, or I just enjoy creating art that I haven’t felt the effort that goes into it. It takes a lot of effort and even more consistency. Quality designs, and the knack to promote yourself, but I can tell you, if you are doing this for an income now, then this is not for you. This one is for those individuals with their eyes on the future. This is an eventually platform
